The AS Motorsport Team has unveiled the name of the first driver to field in the 2024 Italian Formula 4 Championship. It will be Edu Robinson, the 15-year-old Spanish driver with English roots, making his debut with the Tatuus T-421 of the Slovenian-Italian Team. Spanish karting champion in 2020, after seven years of karting and the 2023 season spent in the Ginetta Junior Cup, the driver has decided to tackle the Italian Formula 4 series.

Edu Robinson: "first of all, thanks to the AS motorsport Team for this opportunity. I am very excited to debut in Formula 4.

This season will be very important for me to truly understand my potential as a driver. I want to make the most of every kilometer and learn as much as possible. Together with my family and the Team, we are aware that we have chosen one of the most challenging Championships, but we believe it offers the most to the driver in terms of learning and competitiveness, especially considering the daily briefings with the ACI Sport Federal School."

Andrej Slak, AS Motorsport Team Manager: "The level of the Italian Championship grows every year, and now we can say it's almost like the Formula 4 World Championship. That's why it's not easy to find the right budgets to enter the championship optimally. However, this season, we also want to help some young drivers during their racing journey. After a series of winter tests done together, we found Edu Robinson to be a great fit—a driver with a lot of desire to learn and grow. So, we have decided to face the 2024 season together. The whole Team is very motivated, and we are thrilled to have Edu with us."
